The popular Korean Netflix series, Squid Game is reportedly set to launch in Nigeria with a mouth-watering grand prize.
The organisers made the announcement on Twitter as a new page @SquidGame9ja was created for the sole purpose of giving updates on the date of commencement as well as Terms and Conditions of participation.


The original Squid Game on Netflix follows the story of chronic debtors who are invited to play a series of children’s games to win a jackpot cash prize.
However, losers in the game do not get a chance to live as they are eliminated (killed) immediately.


In the Nigerian version, there will be six games to be played and the overall winner is expected to go home with N5million.
According to a post on its Twitter page, 3 of the games will be reenactment of the ones played in the series while 3 others will be new games.

This is coming after it has been reported that a real-life version of the game will be played in the United Arab Emirates.
