Osun Records 4 New COVID-19 Cases After Discharging 4 Patients

Osun State government said it has discharged four COVID-19 patients from its isolation centre in the state’s capital, Osogbo.

The state Commissioner for Health, Dr Rafiu Isamotu in a statement said the state has new four COVID-19 cases, stating that one of the new case is a medical personnel another is an Osun-based India national, who has been in the state since January.

He, however, said that the patient received visitors from Kano and Lagos states in recent times.

The commissioner said that the other two cases had contact with previous cases in the state.

“We had six active cases in the state and of the six, we successfully treated and discharged four.

“But we recorded one new case on Thursday and by today, Friday, we recorded three new cases, bringing our total active cases to six,” Isamotu said

According to the statement from the commissioner, the state has successfully treated and discharged 44 patients out of 54 confirmed cases. So far, 4 deaths has been recorded.
