Seyitan Bablola, who accused popular Nigerian singer D’banj, of rape has released an official statement.
Seyitan, in a criminal complaint to the police revealed how she received threats from the singer and his team after she decided to come out and speak about her story.
In the statement, she gave the timeline of events that have transpired ever since going public with her story.
According to her, she was arrested by the police and forced to stay in cell with criminals for 48 hours (2 days) before she was set free. An arrest which she was not charged with any offense.
She further added that her release was only after she signed a gag order by the police and D’banj.
On June 22nd, she went on and filed a criminal complaint at the Gender Desk of Lagos Police Command in Ikeja. This occurred after she attempt to file the same complaint at Bar Beach Police Station, Victoria Island, Lagos State.
Seyitan added that her decision to speak up was not for the money but for an apology from the singer for what he did to her.
According to her, she now has the services of a law firm in Abuja to handle her case.
The lady went on to add that she has now gotten the services of a law firm in Abuja to handle her case.
